What is Industrial Hygiene? Industrial Hygiene is defined as “that science and art devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace, which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort among workers or among citizens of the community”. The SRP Environmental Industrial Hygiene Group, headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana, is led by a Certified Industrial Hygienist with over 25 years in the industry.

Our scientists and engineers are committed to protecting the health and safety of people in industries and workplaces of all types. Our Industrial Hygiene Group has expertise in all aspects of Industrial Hygiene, including Mold Removal and Remediation.

Our industrial hygiene team and environmental team can assist you with all your industrial hygiene needs. We can conduct an Initial Worksite Analysis, Program Review, or Exposure Monitoring. We can design Engineering Controls to minimize or eliminate hazards.

The Worksite Analysis is an essential first step that helps an Industrial Hygienist determine what jobs and work stations are the sources of potential problems. During this analysis, the Industrial Hygienist measures and identifies exposures, potential problems and risks that may occur during work activities.Once the potential risks are identified, our experts will recommend the appropriate corrective measures, which may consist of Engineering Controls, Work Practice Controls or Administrative Controls.

Analysis of all samples collected by the SRP Industrial Hygiene experts is performed by American Industrial Hygiene Association-accredited laboratories.
