Douglas M. Grant, Jr., EI, is a Licensed and Registered Engineer Intern within the state of Louisiana. In August 2001, Douglas received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, in Austin, Texas. Work experience at SRP Environmental has included field work and report preparation for various environmental projects, reports, and plans for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements, and Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee government requirements. Specific projects include air quality determinations and permit application preparation, environmental audits and reviews for environmental compliance, storm water site evaluation and plan preparation, storm water and waste water permit application preparation, computer aided drafting and design, spill prevention site evaluation and plan preparation, and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) database management. Some of the industries include oil and gas industry, steel manufacturing industry, chemical manufacturing industry, and the agriculture industry.

All work certified by a Registered Professional Engineer was performed in an agent role for the supervising Professional Engineer.

Prior to joining SRP Environmental, Douglas served as an environmental project manager, licensed finance consultant, and a licensed Christian minister. Other activities include mentoring, sports, and outdoor cooking. Professional organization memberships include American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Service organizations include Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. fraternity as a member and officer and Habitat for Humanity as a volunteer.
