HazCom – GHS Hazardous Communication
Hazardous substances in the workplace, in some forms and concentrations, pose potential health hazards to employees who are exposed to these substances. Departments and employees have a right and a need to know the properties and potential hazards of substances to which they may be exposed. Such knowledge is essential in reducing the incidence of occupational disease. By attending this training, SRP can assist departments in complying with your company Hazard Communication Program requirements. These requirements include labeling, Material Safety Data sheets, employee information and training, and record keeping. This program is delivered in one- two hour session
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
You can’t eliminate all physical hazards through engineering or administrative controls. Personal protective equipment provides a last line of defense. However, data shows that most workers who suffer eye, head, and foot injuries aren’t wearing PPE. These injuries can be lessened or avoided altogether with proper PPE.
OSHA requires that all employers assess their workplace for hazards and certify this assessment. SRP Environmental’s PPE Compliance Training Seminar will help you meet these requirements. In just four hours, we’ll walk you through the key elements of the OSHA PPE regulation (29CFR 1910.132-140, Subpart I), and show you how to protect your employees and your business. This program is delivered in one- two hour session.

Learn about personal protective equipment and safety precautions that assist you in keeping your hands and arms from being injured by sharp objects, chemicals, abrasions, punctures, and extreme temperatures.
Hearing Conservation Program
All employees working in high noise areas must receive training annually, per the OSHA Noise Standard. This training session includes an overview of noise and its measurement, health hazards of noise, permissible noise levels, monitoring, audiometric testing program, hearing protection, record keeping, and sources of noise. The noise surveys and levels for the client’s facility will be discussed. Students will demonstrate proficiency in using the hearing protection provided by the employer. This program is delivered in one- two hour session
Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)
Hydrogen Sulfide leaks from the ground due to decaying organic matter and can be deadly. Know the signs and symptoms of H2S to protect yourself and others as well as learning precautions when the possibility of working around H2S happens.
This course is based on the OSHA regulations as outlined in 29 CFR, Part 1910.134. Anyone who wears a respirator including disposable paper masks must be trained prior to wearing the respirator. The course helps to satisfy this requirement and will provide information to help you select the correct equipment, understand how to protect yourself, clean and maintain your equipment and other requirements OSHA places on those who wear respirators. Respirators utilized by the client will be discussed and students will demonstrate proficiency in the proper use of the respirators. This program is delivered in one- two hour session.
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC)
SRP Environmental’s SPCC training is developed using a facility-specific SPCC plan. The training program is based on the type of material being stored on site, facility contingency plans, and employee involvement in spill response. Topics will include the best approach to emergency responses, notification procedures, and an overview of incident command. This program is delivered in one- two hour session.
This course covers the aspects of the OSHA Walking/Working surface standard as well as the OSHA Fall Protection standard. Types of Fall Protection utilized at the facility will be discussed and demonstrated. Classroom participation for each student will also be included. The types of Walking/Working surfaces at the facility will be evaluated with the individual hazards of each surface discussed. This program is delivered one- two hour session.
