First Aid/CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen Safety Training

First Aid / CPR: Students completing these courses will receive certification through the American Red Cross in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The First Aid course will include basic tips on treatment of minor wounds such as cuts, insect bites, sprains and strains. The CPR class will include training on resuscitation of victims who are not breathing and/or have no heartbeat. Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) will also be discussed. This program is delivered in two-four hour sessions.
Bloodborne Pathogens: All employees who have the potential to be exposed to Bloodborne pathogens on the job are required to have initial training in Bloodborne pathogens. Training is also required on an annual basis. This program is delivered in one- two hour session.
