Every year, OSHA puts together a list of the most frequently cited standards. This “Top Ten” list is a good reference point to internally audit your company for potential hazards.
- Fall Protection in construction.
- Hazard Communication.
- Scaffolding in construction.
- Respiratory Protection.
- Powered Industrial Trucks.
- Ladders in construction.
- Electrical: Wiring Methods.
- Machine Guarding.
- Electrical: General Requirements.
It is noted that most of the citations for the above standards are related to lack of training. Are all of your employees trained in various OSHA standards? Is the safety program fully implemented? Are the procedures being followed?
The Top Ten Most Frequently Cited Standards for 2015 will be released at the end of this year. How many of the same violations do you think will be on this years’ list?
